School Residencies and Special Programs

Pit Pinegar has broad experience in developing programs in partnership with schools. Whether it’s a series of three or four poetry classes with one or more grade-levels in an elementary school, a day of poetry or fiction with gifted and talented high school students, creative writing in an interdisciplinary, curriculum-based middle school program, professional development for teachers, or a week or more at a university or independent school, Pinegar is sensitive and attentive to the needs of each institution. Whether a school’s objective is curriculum enhancement or artistic enrichment (or a combination of the two). Pit Pinegar is skilled, experienced, and flexible enough to meet a variety of goals.

School residencies and special programs are often combined with readings, lectures, and/or performances.
